PREPARE Roadshow @ NCID Monthly Research Meeting

PREPARE was invited to speak at the Monthly Research Meeting organised by the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID), Singapore, on 18 Mar 2022 (Fri). This meeting is held every 3rd Friday of the month and aims to i) inspire research ideas and participation, ii) provide guidance on research studies and iii) foster research collaborations.
PREPARE was invited to speak at the Monthly Research Meeting organised by the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID), Singapore, on 18 Mar 2022 (Fri). This meeting is held every 3rd Friday of the month and aims to i) inspire research ideas and participation, ii) provide guidance on research studies and iii) foster research collaborations.
The session was open to all researchers, clinicians and administrators across healthcare including academia, public and private hospitals, industries as well as ministries. We received over 363 registrations for this event, with 339 participants attending the roadshow via Zoom.
PREPARE was featured through a series of short presentations from PREPARE Executive Director Prof Wang Linfa, and the respective Co-Operative and Core Leads. The session was moderated by PREPARE Deputy Executive Director Prof David Lye. Prof Wang introduced the participants to PREPARE and its role in Singapore’s mitigation and response/control plan for pandemic preparedness. Prof Wang also explained PREPARE’s key objectives and how the five Co-operatives and two Cores will work together to achieve these objectives.

Participants then heard directly from each Co-operative and Core Leads. The Leads shed light on the objectives, desired outcomes and work plan for their respective programmes. Through this virtual roadshow, participants were also given a sneak peek into PREPARE’s upcoming grant calls to be announced in the coming months.

Participants were keen to learn more about PREPARE and collaborate for future projects. There were also several post-meeting queries on the grant announcements.
